Commissioned by our long-term clients and friends from Quermedia, we developed a mobile app for the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management to give users a better insight and understanding of the difficulties and circumstances surrounding the search for a permanent disposal of radioactive waste.
The app provides answers to a lot of questions popping up when dealing with the search for a permanent disposal:
What has been the approach so far in disposing radioactive waste?
What are the criteria to take into account when looking for a permanent disposal site?
What risks are associated with different approaches?
What political procedures are necessary to make a legally binding decision?
The user navigates through different points of interests in a 3D environment and can form an educated opinion on this future-oriented issue by watching animation clips and reading theme-related info material.
We were responsible for the interactive realisation and programmtic implementation, as well as the preparation of graphical assets.
The app is available now for iOS and Android on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
